The votes have been counted in Clark County and the results are in for the two seats in the county that had opposition.
Three Democrats appeared on the ballot seeking voter support to challenge Melanie Wilt on the November ballot to fill the seat on the county commission as John Detrick retires.
Former commissioner Roger Tackett took 47% of the vote to face Wilt in the general election. Dale Henry former Mayor of Springfield received 33% of the vote and Darrell Jackson came in third with just over 20% of ballots cast.
On the Republican ballot Melissa Tuttle defeated former Job and Family Services Director Bob Suver for a place on the November ballot as she seeks to unseat Democrat Ron Vincent as Clerk of Common Pleas Court in the county.
In Green Township voters approved the fire renewal levy and the EMS renewal levy. Northwestern Local Schools also received support of the voters to pass a 7.32 mill levy by a narrow margin of just nine votes.
In the race for the White House in Clark County, Hillary Clinton defeated Bernie Sanders by receiving 59% of the votes and Sanders taking home just 40%.
On the Republican side, Ohio Governor John Kasich came in first place with 44% of the vote with Donald Trump coming in a close second with 41%. Ted Cruz found just over 11% in the county. Marco Rubio called it a night with just 2%.
